Fun in Zermatt
Winter
hiking on the Gornergrat
Hiking on the Gornergrat is not just reserved for the summer months.
Let your feet dance and tread among a snowy world where there are
29 peaks over four thousand metres high.
A winter
wonderland becomes reality on the trail from Ratenboden via the
Riffelsee to Riffelberg, or from Riffelalp to Zermatt.
Warmly clad and with sturdy shoes, this is a discovery for any
walker.
The
Rotenboden-Riffelsee-Riffelberg trail is about 2,5 kilometres long
and the hike takes about 50 minutes. From Riffelalp to Zermatt, the 5-km hike means 1 ½
hours. Both trails are open from Christmas until Easter, as
long as weather conditions permit.
