Zermatt Transportation
Zermatt has one of the most effective and efficient on mountain transportation networks in Europe.

As you probably know, the village is car-free, and all private cars must be left in Tasch, the first village below Zermatt. From there a train takes  one to the village, where an electric car or one of the few remaining horse-drawn carriages will take you to your hotel.

There is a ski bus (electric and not free) operating in the village, and the local electric taxis can be good value if you have enough people sharing. Watch out, if you are paying an electric taxi to take your luggage to the hotel.
