The
Schwarzsee 
The area around the Schwarzee is a nifty and challenging ski region of its own, and most likely the best way to Zermatt on skis, weather and snow permitting (in summer there is no skiing this far down). From the Furgg/Schwarzee area though there is a network of ski lifts , gondolas and cable cars that will get you to the skiing at Trockner Steg, Furggstattel and down through the Theodulgletscher. This is good skiing for confident skiers, but some parts of this area are very tricky, so beginners and those without the skill to match their heart would do better to put off until their skills are honed. |
