Matterhorn Cervinia

  

The Matterhorn is probably the highest free standing mountain in Europe. Er, what does free standing mean? Anyway it is shared by the Italian, Aosta Valley resort of Cervinia and the Swiss resort of Zermatt. Cervinia offers 150km of skiing whilst Zermatt offers 200. Together, 350. The food is great in Cervinia and the Italian atmosphere unforgetabe.
